Dublin Coffee and Tea Festival 2014

 Hi everyone!

Apologies about the delay of this post. I have just been super busy with college work lately. I never realised that third year would be this stressful so early! But, I am getting my head down because I know it will be worth it in the end.

So a popular type of post you guys like are events I attend. Dublin is full of so many events at this time of the year and I want to attend ones I have interest in, as well as you. So after doing some research I came across the Dublin Coffee and Tea festival. At first, I laughed, as it was so weird to have a festival full of different coffee and tea stalls and everyone getting hyper on caffeine. However, the event looked very fun and interesting, so I said why not!

I'm a Tea lover, not a coffee lover. My friend, Kasey, is a coffee and tea lover, so we wanted to broaden our horizons of the coffee and tea lines. The venue for the festival was the RDS. As it's such a huge venue, we eventually found the hall it was taking place. They were very lucky with the weather as it was forecasted for sunshine. We arrived to a canopy where they checked our tickets and we walked in to what definitely felt like a mini music festival. Right in front of us was a stage where performers played music throughout the day. There were also food stalls here too for the hungry tummies.

When we walked into the hall, where the aromas of coffee hit us. I am not a fan of the coffee smell but I started to love it throughout the day. There were many exhibitioners displaying their coffee and tea products and also giving customers samples too. As well as them, there were also many products that complement tea's and coffees like coffee machines and chocolate and biscuits products available too. When Kasey and myself were walking around, we noticed it was mainly business people coming to this festival. We overheard conversations of people starting new businesses or wanting to introduce new ranges to their collections in their restaurants/Café's.

One thing that made our day, was walking past the Johnnie's Cupcake stall. As you may know, Johnnie's Cupcakes have amazing cupcakes in different flavours, with locations nationwide. We were talking to the man at the stall while drooling all over the cupcakes. We were discussing the most popular flavours and how business was doing. We then asked, if he ever met Johnnie himself and then he said "Would you believe me if I said I was Johnnie?" . We laughed, but he was serious. HE WAS JOHNNIE! He said he comes to exhibitions and shows like these because it's his chance to meet his customers. I told him I was a blogger, so then he gave me four cupcakes to try out and see if I liked them. Free cupcakes? Hell yeah!

It was a really enjoyable day, broadening my tastes of tea and tasting different coffees, and obviously eating all the chocolate and cookies goodies I could find!

If you love tea or coffee or want to go to something different, it is worth a day out there! Unfortunately, its not on until next year. But, its worth the wait!

Stay Tuned for more chaos,
