Photo Challenge Day One - Selfie

What a great way to start of a photo challenge with a selfie. Like many people, or not so many people, I always take photos of myself whenever I look well. Its pathetic, but hey we all do it. So this is one of my recent favourite selfies. I did a photo-shoot at the end of August and this was one of many selfies I took. The photo-shoot was for a make-up school, so the main focus was on the make-up. The look was Marilyn Monroe inspired and I must say it did come out well. The overall photo-shoot was so much fun. I did four looks at this was probably one of my favourites. The actual photos from the photo-shoot came out really well too. I wore that make-up for the rest of that day. It just came out so well and I could never do my make-up that good. It made me more confident too.

Although it can be said every girl is naturally beautiful and no girl needs make-up but a lot of you might agree it makes us more confident. At twenty years of age, looking back at my teen years, I rarely wore make-up. My mam would of always gave out to me if I didn't. So I really only wore it on occasions. I never and actually still don’t understand why girls wear make-up too school. You are young and don't need to ruin your skin at such a young age. Why should you try and look good for boys? They ain’t gonna like a girl with an orange face and tacky tan in a school uniform. Be you and be natural as much as you can. There are days even now I don’t feel like putting on make-up and I don’t care what people think. I’m always told by people I never need make-up and I have good skin ( though I disagree because I have mountains of spots on my face) and this is why. I never put make-up unless I have time and if I want to make an effort. But why make effort ? If a boy or girl doesn’t like you for you, are they worth it? But obviously , make-up makes us more confident. It makes us feel pretty but never let it change you. Never let it make you be a different girl. Always be you. But you have to love yourself naturally before you let others love you.
