Glamour at the G

What: Glamour at the G
Where: The G Hotel, Co. Galway
When: Thursday 12th June

Last Thursday, as you probably saw on Instagram, I attended the “Glamour at the G” event. The event returned this June for the 3rd time since its first appearance in 2012. Ireland’s top Designers and Milliners got to showcase their creations for this year. The event brought different people in the fashion industry to celebrate the talented designers and milliners we have here in Ireland. The fashion show was hosted by Today Fm's Louise Duffy and was in aid of Console,COPE and Irish Autism Action. The ticket entitled you a drinks reception, the fashion show itself and an after party with live music.

All eyes on the models and the stunning designs.

It was incredible to be part of such an amazing event. I worked behind the scenes of the fashion show, where I am usually found helping our my aunt, the MD of one of Ireland’s Leading modelling agency, Catwalk Modelling Agency. As I have always been her little helper backstage, I defiantly wasn't going to refuse working at an event like this. I got to meet amazing and talented designers and milliners who created such wonderful pieces for their 2014 collection. There was also a lot of press including Glenda Gilson interviewing many people for the TV3 show, Xposé. Once again, I got to work with the beautiful Catwalk models who owned the fashion and made the audience feel like they were at fashion week in Milan. The whole production was incredible from the pink spotlights to the positioning of the seats, it was a well run and exciting event.
