Alternative ways to spend Halloween

"Those who don't believe in magic will never find it"

Yes, I said it- the "H" word. We can deny it all we want, but Halloween is approaching, and very quickly I might add. I thought I would put together a little blog post. I know there many of you who love the autumn season and are always excited for Halloween. However, for me, I was never crazy into Halloween. Yes, I would usually go out and get dressed up and make crazy memories with my friends. But, this year I want to do something different. So, I've created a list of alternative ways to spend this Halloween. Don't worry, you don't need a crazy amount of money. You can even do a few of these things together if you wanted to.

1. Unhalloween Celebration
If you wanted to be really different, throw a little party where you do the opposite of what you would normally do on Halloween. Do things that aren't the typical halloween things. For instance, have a Christmas Party or if you love Summer, host a summer party. Go on, be adventurous! I know, sounds a bit silly, right? But, if you really didn't like Halloween, this is something you could think of doing.

2. Orange and Black Party
Now, you can have two types of Orange and Black Parties. As you know, orange and black are the two colours associated with Halloween. Why not host a party where everyone has to wear Orange and/or black. If you wanted to have more fun, have orange and black food and drinks too! Check out some inspiration below.

3.  Orange is the new Black Party
The other party you could have is also based on the Netflix series "Orange is the new Black". If you're a huge lover of the show like myself, you know that you can watch the episodes over and over and never get sick of it. Get some of your friends together for a marathon of one of the seasons! Want to make it interesting? See the image below for the perfect Orange is the New Black drinking game!

4. Halloween Bake Off
I think we all secretly love to bake! If not, we all love to eat baked goods! I found some interesting Halloween related recipes where you and your friends can spend the evening in the kitchen, having fun  and making a mess. I mean, what's the worst that could go wrong?

5. Movies Night In
This is usually a safe option when you don't want to go out for Halloween. Nothing beats sitting in on a cold night, all wrapped up and with the whole of a sweets aisle in front of you. What to watch? Here are my top 10 Films to watch on Halloween( please note some of these movies have different age restrictions)

10. Evil Dead (Both 2013 and 1981 versions) (Rated: 18)
9. Scream (1996)( Rated: 18)
8. Hocus Pocus (1993) (Rated: PG)
7.Orphan (2009) (Rated: 15)
6.The Uninvited (2009) (Rated:15)
5. Psycho (1960) (Rated: 15)
4. The Babadook (2014) (Rated: 15)
3. The Conjuring (2013) (Rated: 15)
2. The Exorcism of Emily Rose (2005) (Rated: 15)
1. The Exorcist (1973) (Rated: 18)

Let me know if you decide to do any of these alternative ways to spend Halloween!

~Happy Halloween
Stay safe, kids~

Stay tuned for more chaos,
