"Music is not what I do, it's who I am"
Welcome back to Selfie Girls Playlist. My music taste the past week has been another mixture of dance and alternative rock. See below to see what I've been listening to (and miming to public transport when people aren't looking!) P.S all links will direct you to the song on Spotify.
1. "It ain't me" by Kygo and Selena Gomez
For the past few months, Kygo has been one of my go to artists to put me into a good mood. Whether it's on his own or collaborating with another artist, there is something about his music that makes me head sway from side to side and it's just generally feel good music. His latest song with Selena is no exception. Her soft voice just sits in perfectly with his style of music.

2. "Chained to the Rhythm" by Katy Perry ft. Skip Marley
It's been 3 years since we last heard from Katy Perry and she is certainly back with a bang. This song has simply become addictive over the past two weeks. I was fearing her comeback song would be a new style, but it's just as perfect as her last album was. She was always one of those artist who could take a risk with their music and it would just never disappoint.

For anyone who follows me on social media will know that I attended the launch of The Klares new song "Gooie" last week in The Academy 2, Dublin. I'd been waiting a few weeks for this launch and I certainly not disappointed. The Klares are a band I'm regularly listening to since I first came across them at The Academic's last Dublin gig in December 2016. Gooie certainly didn't disappoint and this it's a great catchy song that stuck with me since I first listened to it last Friday night.

4. "New Flows" by Redlight
I'm a sucker for a bit of house music and I've been probably been getting into it over the past year. Spotify have this playlist called "UK House Music" which is updated regularly and this is how I found this song. I've started listening to Redlight a bit more because of this song. It should be the first song you play on a Friday morning.

5. "Stay in the Dark" by The Band Perry
I really am a country girl at heart. I know The Band Perry have been around the past while, but I haven't really listened to them much. They released this song two weeks ago and it's just a really catchy song and it's not that strong of a country song. If you like Taylor Swifts old style music or Lady Antebellum, you'll like this!
