Okay. About time I'm doing this post. I've thought about doing it for weeks and finally I'm writing this.
Nicki Minaj. Like where do I begin ? I suppose the first time I saw her was when she featured in Will.i.am's video "Check it out" . Straight away from that moment I knew that there is something different about this girl that I really like. My obsession started since then. She featured in more songs and then became an instant superstar. A lot of people think that "Starships" was her first song and god that annoys me. No. She's been around since I was practically a child. She's done so much to put her name out there and it took her years to get herself where she is now.
She is truly an inspiration to me. I've a lot of idols, people I look up to but wow Nicki, she is the queen. There has been so much talk about it by media that Barbz and Kenz and the biggest and craziest fan base ever. And that is very true. The moment Nicki is on television or uploads a tweet, I literally fall of the couch. She is one of the very few artists that talks to her fans and I love that about her. She's doing what she does to keep herself and her fans happy. She is now an entrepreneur by expanding her empire. I know she has more surprises on the way and I am too excited.
A lot of people don't get my obsession, that's fine. We all have our own favourite artists and people we look up to. I respect everyone's music choice , you listen to what makes you happy and what you connect with. I personally think Nicki's lyrics are amazing and simply genius.
And let's just briefly talk about how flawless she looks. She seriously makes jaw drop and I love that. Her style is so out there and she wears everything so well and some people would never dream of trying to be so out there. And let's just get one thing straight, I don't care about her ass and how big it is, it's hot and you're jealous so shh.
I love you Onika Maraj and you are my heart and soul.
