This Week with Jess

This week was a very quite week for me. Ireland was blessed with some fine weather this week, which as all Irish know, is very rare! I was lucky that I had two days off work to try and work on my tan. So my friends and I sunbathed in their mothers back garden, which is nearly considered Lanzarote because it always gets good sun. My parents and sister have really great skin as they can turn brown within hours of being in the sun. Me,on the other hand, the darkest shade of brown I can go, is a very light light brown that it nearly looks white. It took me years to prove to my mother that I don't tan well. But after those two days, I have a light tan but I did sadly burn on Monday. Always remember to use sun cream, no matter where you are, its so easy to get burned! And I think a lot of Irish learned this lesson this week.

Tuesday was a day I was very anxious about for the past few weeks. It was the day I would get the results of my college exams. I couldn't eat or I couldn't sleep as we had to wait until 5pm for an email to say they were released. I was feeling very nervous as I really did think I could of failed. BUT I PASSED!!!!! I am over the moon and I am so excited for third year. I can only say second year was the toughest year of education, ever. It was very stressful and now I can move forward and welcome third year with opened arms. As part of my week, I always go for a drinks with my friends. And yet again, I indulged myself into the strawberry mojitos because I was celebrating my achievement with my friends. Learn how to make one in the link below!

My friend Kasey and myself went on a lunch date to Póg Fro-Yo on Friday. You can read my review about in the link below.

I also took a little trip down to Tipperary to visit my family. My mother is in the middle of decorating the interior of the house and everything is pink and white. I'm slightly worried, because I think she is turning into a real life barbie. It was so good to see them because it has been forever since I was last home. I have been so busy creating a new life here in Dublin and working my ass off. Always remember, your family come first so always make time for them. Yes, they'll annoy you and so on, but the are the ones that stand by you and support you for every decision you make.
