The Kingsley- A must stay in Cork!

Hi Guys!

I hope you are well! As you know, a few weeks ago, I stayed in the Kingsley Hotel in Co.Cork, Ireland and I had a wonderful time there. So this is my first ever hotel review so wish me luck! To start off, the hotel mentioned did not ask me to review them. This was simply a stay for pleasure not business. However, my stay was quite enjoyable and I think it deserves recognition. So hopefully at the end of this post, you'll want to get your bags packed and head to Cork!

It was a last minute arrangement when I went down to Cork to join my sister and mother who were staying there already. I was only supposed to be there one night, but I couldn't resist the life of luxury there and thankfully the Kingsley had availabilty. From the outside, its screamed elegance. And once I stepped the elegance continued. The staff there were extremely friendly. Such simple things like wishing you a good day or even saying hello to you in the mornings instantly put a smile on my face.

The first night I stayed there, I had a huge room all for myself. You can see in the pictures below, it was suited for a princess (me!). The bed was so comfortable, I could of stayed in it all day. Hence, why I ordered Breakfast in bed! I treated myself to Pancakes and Hot Chocolate for two mornings because in my head, I was on holidays!

I had not been in Cork since my Confirmation nearly 9 years ago, so my memories about the city were not clear. However, it is such a beautiful city. As previously mentioned, the staff were very friendly. But also, the people of Cork were also friendly. Some people you would walk past on the street would say Hi to you. I haven't seen this anywhere around Ireland. But, it is good to know that there are still mannerly and happy people in this world. The scenery around the city was beautiful. We walked into the city centre each day which took roughly 40 minutes. Of course, I was tired but its not every you walk by the River Lee and walk through different parks.

Now, back to the hotel. I had been complaining about a back pain for a few weeks. So I decided to treat myself to my first ever Spa Treatment. It was my first, my certainly not my last. As I have never been to a Spa before, I had no expectations of what it would be like. But, I am hoping every other Spa in Ireland is as relaxing. I received a Back, Neck and Shoulder Massage and it really did help out my back. It was so relaxing, it was the most relaxed I felt for months. It was only 25 minutes but I wished it was longer. After my treatment, I could sit in a relaxing and quiet area where I was given some refreshments. I noticed some people had phones, which I think was a bit annoying, The whole point of going to a Spa is to be relaxed and get away. Hence, why you noticed I have no pictures of myself from the Spa because I wanted to just relax and think to myself and find myself without being attached to my phone.

The food in the hotel was superb.  One our last night, we stayed in the hotel for our dinner in the Springboard Restaurant. We all had a Indian Chicken Dish with Paan Bread and it was amazing. Fresh Vegetables and chicken were tossed around with noodles and some sauce. I got to enjoy a glass or two of wine and ended the night with a Long Island Iced Tea Cocktail in the Fishers Bar located in the hotel.

I did not want to leave that Friday morning. We were lucky to get a late checkout although the hotel was booked up for the weekend. Whatever we wanted from the hotel, they staff made sure to offer great customer service and ensure we were happy. Whether it is a weekend away with the family, a night away with a partner or a wedding, The Kingsley is an excellent choice. I could not recommend them anymore. Thank you to the hotel for providing me with such a wonderful stay! I do hope to be back again!
