Cocoa Brown presents.. Celebration of US Launch- Oscars style!

Hello Beauties!

The Decor and Champange on Arrival- Everything Pink of course!

So as you probably seen from my social media, I was invited to an Oscars Themed event thanks to Cocoa Brown. Myself, along with many other beauty bloggers, were invited for a pink champagne drinks receptions and then a private movie screening of the 1940's Classic "The Philadelphia Story" at the Irish Film Institute, Temple Bar, Dublin. The dress code was "1940's Golden Glamour". It was such an different and fun theme. I didn't think I would have anything to wear (like every girl thinks) but after some research I knew what I was going to wear. I enjoyed throwing back to such an elegant era where Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn were on the Hollywood Scene.

Pass me a glass!

My 1940's Golden Glamour Look
I opted for a simple black dress. I bought it in Miss Selfridge on sale about 2 years ago. I never wore it until that night. I saved it in my wardrobe all that time because I knew it would be for something special! Some of you liked this dress a lot so click the link here for a similar type from ASOS! I felt like an Irish Dancer with my curly hair! I never usually curl it that big, but back then, it was all about big hair! I used VO5 Ultimate Hold hairspray to keep my curls intact (Available from Tesco and leading Pharmacies) . I kept my makeup pretty simple as it was all about the eyeliner and lips! I chose a pink Lippy from IsaDora to keep in the with Cocoa Brown's logo colour!

I arrived with Veronika from StyleGamblers and we were greeted by two fine young men wearing pink bow ties! We were then brought to our private area where we finally met the Cocoa Brown Team- Kate, Aishling, Stephanie and of course, Marissa Carter herself! I was delighted to finally meet these women who work so hard in making Marissa's dream come true! I could easily tell on the night they worked hard to prepare every detail including pink sweets which I dug into watching the movie! I got to catch up with some of my favourite bloggers and friends including AJ from AJmakeup, Veronika and Agata from StyleGamblers, Melissa from Lipstick and Louboutins and the list goes on...

We were then rounded up and brought to our movie screen! We were honestly spoiled with the goodies! We were given Cocoa Brown style pink sweeties as well as Haagen Dazs icecream! I couldn't ask for more! We were further spoiled with a goody bag of Cocoa Brown products! Some lucky girls received vouchers- unfortunately I wasn't one of them! But I was so happy to be surrounded by beautiful and inspiring women! I tucked into my goodies and sat back to watch the Philadelphia Story. It was in black and white and it added to the real 1940's feeling! It was a really enjoyable film, very funny and the style was exquisite!
I was spoiled! Gosh they were so yummy!

Movie Time!
Once the film ended, Marissa thanked everyone for coming and for the help of the Cocoa Brown theme! It was a proud moment for her when she announced that Cocoa Brown is now available in Ricky's in the US! How incredible! Cocoa Brown will now be a worldwide known brand fulfilling the needs of pale girls everywhere! Girls from America can now buy instore at Ricky's or online here
