Jessicabanaghan: Sleek Makeup Ireland Launch

Hi Guys!

So two weeks ago, I was delighted to attend the launch of Sleek Makeup in Ireland. I would like to thank the Publicity Loft for inviting me to such a great night.

I have been using several Sleek Makeup Products for the past year and I was delighted to be invited to check out some products that I could potentially try. I was also excited to catch up with some of my blogger friends and bloggers I have never met before!

Kate Kelly from Pure Irish Sugar Blog and Me!

It was held in the Dean Hotel in Dublin. I rushed straight from work to my home for a quick wardrobe change and then onto a bus in City Centre. I didn't know what to expect, but it certainly wasn't like any blogger event I've been to so far. Some blogger events may involve us sitting their for the whole thing and not being able to try the product yourself. Here the products were laid out around the room where we can walk around and try them ourselves. I like how we could all mingle with people and just talk to other people and get their opinions and thoughts on the products. Being a blogger, we like to try the product ourselves and test it out. We can listen to others opinions but we do want to make up our own minds about it. So I enjoyed I could move freely around the room trying the products myself. There was also makeup demos going on around the room where the Face of Sleek Makeup Ireland, Nadia El Ferdaoussi ,was trying her favourite looks and products on models. And of course, there were nibbles and treats like all good events!

From an event perspective, I did really enjoy it! It was well planned and the little aspects such as the little Sleek Makeup backdrops on the tables. As an event manager, I look at the little details people don't see. And when I see that people think of everything, it just wins me! It was good to relax and do what you please! You didn't have to feel awkward if you had to leave early, and of course it was normal and is normal to approach people you've seen online and be like "hey I know you from Twitter"! I love being approached by people who follow me online, it's good to know people actually follow me and see what crap I can put online :P!
