Tanning Thursday with Cocoa Brown featuring Chocolate Whip and Gentle Bronze

Hey beauties!

I hope you are having a fabulous week. If not, well the weekend is just around the corner.

You have probably realised my obsession with tan. Shockingly enough, I didn't always love tan. I am only after using it the past three years, and yes of course, mainly Cocoa Brown. One thing I just didn't like about tan is the horrible smell it can have. And I was always afraid I would always come out like an oompa loompa. But, since using Cocoa Brown products, the smell is amazing. And there is never a fear of going orange, like ever.

I wrote a review about Gentle Bronze a few month ago which you can read here. But when using Chocolate Whip, I didn't want to be my pale self so I did apply some Gentle Bronze.

So I had the Kate and Stephanie from Cocoa Brown explain to me about Chocolate Whip at the Irish Beauty Show last month. I did assume it was a tan product. But silly Jessika should of read the label as it is an Oil-Free Body Moisturiser. Always before tanning, you should moisturise your skin to prepare the skin. However, I can put my hands up and say I would never moisturise before tanning( Please don't kill me, Marissa ). This is mainly because I'm lazy. However, moisturising your skin and the tanning process doesn't take that long. And if you actually give yourself the time to do it, it's actually enjoyable.

Anyway, back to Chocolate Whip. As previously mentioned, it is an oil-free moisturiser. We all know some oils can be both good and bad for your skin. However when tanning, Cocoa Brown believe you should use an oil-free moisturiser as it helps for an even tan when fading. Now you are probably wondering why is it called Chocolate Whip? Because it smells like chocolate that's why. I sat on my bathroom floor for a good 10 minutes smelling it thinking of what chocolate bar it reminds me of. I still don't know! And yes, it does come out looking like chocolate. I was told it doesn't add any glow or colour to your skin. So when I noticed it was a dark brown colour, I really thought I was going to turn me into a Cadbury's Chocolate bar. However when you apply chocolate whip to the skin and starting rubbing it in, it turns into a white cream like moisturiser. It felt so smooth on the skins. It can always be applied, even if you don't want to apply tan. I know there may be some of you who might not use tan at all, but this Cocoa Brown will not led you down. It is mess and oil free!

However, in my case here, I did decide to apply my Gentle Bronze, to give myself a bit of a glow. If I was going out on the town or to an event, I would usually apply Cocoa Brown's 1 Hour Tan.

So there is my little story about tanning and Cocoa Brown's Chocolate Whip and Gentle Bronze.
